About these stories

Six stories from the Bible, retold gently for young children: the shepherd who leaves ninety-nine sheep to look for the one, the stranger who stopped for the wounded man everyone else walked past, the bread that was somehow enough, and three children who grew up to be famous — Noah's grandchildren helping with the animals, Daniel choosing simple food, David practising with his sling by the stream.

Each one is told as a story first, with its meaning left for the question at the end — everyone matters, kindness to a stranger, sharing, standing by your choices. The Lost Sheep and The Good Samaritan are written for older listeners; the rest for ages three to six.
