The story

In the sun-dappled forest, a little turtle wakes up. He smiles, feeling the cozy weight of his beautiful, mossy shell.

Dark clouds roll in, and cold raindrops begin to patter on the leaves. The other forest animals scramble to find a dry place to hide.

Safe inside his warm shell, the turtle watches his shivering neighbors. He knows he must step out into the wet woods to help them.

Step by slow step, the brave turtle marches through the growing puddles. His feet splash softly, but he keeps a steady, careful pace.

He finds a shivering caterpillar stranded on a wet leaf. The turtle offers a safe, dry spot right on top of his mossy shell.

He spots a wet ladybug lost in the tall grass. The turtle gently helps her climb up next to her new caterpillar friend.

A strong gust of wind howls through the trees, making the little bugs cling tightly to the slippery shell.

With a quick tuck, the turtle pulls his head and legs inside. Now, his sturdy shell protects everyone from the howling wind.

Inside the shell, it is dark and cozy. The little bugs listen to the patter of the rain, feeling safe in their turtle-home.

The howling wind finally dies down, and the rain stops. The turtle carefully peeks his head out into the fresh, clean air.

A colorful rainbow paints the sky. The little bugs step down onto the sparkling grass, cheering for their brave friend.

The turtle smiles under the bright sun. He knows that going slow and steady is the perfect way to carry comfort wherever he goes.
