Stella's Warming Plates

Stella the Stegosaurus loved the afternoon sun. Nearby, her tiny butterfly friend fluttered happily in the gentle breeze.

As the sun set, a chilly wind swept through the forest. The tiny butterfly shivered under a leaf, cold and trembling.

Stella tried blowing gentle, warm breaths, but the cold wind swept them away. Her tiny butterfly friend still shivered.

Next, Stella nudged a pile of soft, dry leaves over her shivering friend, but the cold wind still crept in.

Suddenly, Stella felt her own back plates. They were still radiating the deep, comforting warmth of the afternoon sun.

Stella knelt low in the grass and gently invited her cold little friend to climb onto her warm back.

The tiny butterfly fluttered up and landed gently on one of Stella's glowing plates, feeling the cozy warmth spread.

With its wings gently warmed, the little butterfly stopped shivering and let out a happy, cozy sigh.

Other cold butterflies saw the cozy golden glow from Stella's plates and fluttered down from the dark pine trees.

One by one, the butterflies settled onto Stella’s warm plates, finding the perfect snuggly spots to rest.

Tucked safe and warm against the glowing plates, the butterflies closed their eyes as the silver stars came out.

Stella smiled happily under the starry sky, knowing her warm plates would always be a cozy home for her tiny friends.
