Bright fireflies danced in a dazzling parade. Fiona hovered near the clover, wishing her soft amber glow could shine just as bright.
A chilly wind blew, scattering the bright fireflies. From a dark, hollow log, a tiny, frightened baby mouse squeaked for help.
Fiona fluttered down to the dark log. While bright, flashing lights scared the little mouse, Fiona's quiet glow felt safe.
Pip the baby mouse peeked out. Comforted by Fiona's steady amber light, he took a brave step forward into the quiet night.
Long shadows stretched across the forest floor. Fiona flew just ahead, keeping her warm light close so Pip wouldn't lose his way.
A rustle in the dark bushes made them freeze. Fiona bravely held her ground, her cozy glow lighting the safe stepping stones ahead.
Pip hopped bravely across the wet stepping stones. Fiona's warm, steady glow made the dark, rushing water look safe and bright.
Through the thick roots of a great oak tree, a warm, cozy nest appeared. Fiona's gentle light guided Pip right to his front door.
Pip's mother rushed out of the cozy nest, wrapping her baby in a warm hug. Fiona watched them, her little heart filled with happiness.
The other fireflies gathered around, having watched Fiona's gentle light from above. They buzzed softly with wonder and respect.
Fiona smiled as her little light shone with quiet pride. She finally knew that her soft, gentle glow was perfect just the way it was.
