The story

A sweet scent of warm sugar drifted on the breeze. Barefoot and curious, the little child followed the delicious smell.

The path led to a cozy bakery where a kind old woman smiled warmly. "Welcome, little helper!" she called out.

The child climbed up on a sturdy wooden stool, eager to touch the soft, powdery flour.

Together, they poured in sweet milk and yeast. The yeast made tiny, dancing bubbles in the warm bowl.

The old baker's hands were gentle and strong as she folded the dough. It needed to be soft and smooth before resting.

The child wanted to bake it right away, but the wise baker gently shook her head. "Patience, little one. We must let it rise."

They covered the bowl with a clean, checkered cloth. Now, they had to wait for the magic of the warm kitchen to work.

Waiting was hard! The clock went tick-tock, and the child's bare toes wiggled impatiently on the wooden stool.

Under the checkered cloth, a wonderful change happened. The quiet dough slowly puffed up, growing twice as big!

With happy hands, the child shaped the soft dough into little round rolls. They were ready for the hot oven.

Inside the warm oven, the rolls baked to a beautiful golden brown. A delicious, sweet aroma filled every corner of the cozy bakery.

Taking a big, warm bite, the child smiled happily. They knew the secret now: the best things are made with love and patience.
