The story

The Child splashed happily at the lake's edge in their bright orange vest. Nearby, the Parent watched with a warm smile.

Across the sparkling water, a beautiful blue shell glimmered on a small island. It looked so far away.

The Child hesitated, clutching their orange vest. "What if I miss you?" they whispered. The Parent knelt down with a comforting smile.

"We have an invisible string made of love," the Parent explained. "It stretches as far as you go."

Trusting the magic string, the Child stepped into the cool water and began to paddle toward the distant island.

A gentle breeze swept across the lake, creating tiny ripples. From the shore, the Parent watched with quiet, steady hope.

Suddenly, a chilly gust of wind swept across the lake, kicking up cold, splashing waves.

The island felt so far away, and the cold waves made the Child freeze with fear in the deep water.

Back on the shore, the Parent placed a hand over their heart, sending a warm wave of love back through the invisible thread.

Closing their eyes, the Child felt a warm tug in their chest. The invisible string held tight, and they smiled and swam on.

With a final, happy splash, the Child scrambled onto the island shore and picked up the gleaming blue shell.

Holding the blue shell, the Child waved. They knew that no matter how far they went, love would always keep them close.
