At dawn, the vast blue sea hugs the sandy shore. Gentle waves wash over smooth pebbles with a soft, rhythmic song.
Slowly, the water begins to pull back, sliding away from the sandy dunes. A new, hidden world starts to appear.
Glistening shells and secret tide pools emerge from the deep. Tiny ocean treasures lie waiting in the warm morning sun.
By afternoon, the sea has gone far, far out. The beach is wide and warm, where little crabs scurry across the dry sand.
Seagulls glide down to rest on the vast, dry sandbars. They search for treats in the shallow pools left behind by the distant ocean.
A cool breeze suddenly sweeps across the wide beach. Far out on the horizon, the quiet ocean begins to stir and turn.
With a gentle rumble, the first small waves start rolling back. Cool water rushes forward, kissing the warm, dry sand.
The rushing waves fill the empty tide pools and splash over the glistening shells. Slowly, the wide sandy beach begins to disappear.
The tide rises higher, splashing over the rocks. Soon, the sandy shore is almost completely covered by the deep, cool waves.
By evening, the sea is fully home, deep and blue. The cool waves lap gently against the high dunes once more.
Under the starry night sky, the water prepares to slide away once more. The ocean's endless dance never stops.
Twice every single day, the great sea slides away and comes back home. This faithful rhythm brings peace to the shore, over and over again.
