High up in a quiet, grey cloud, a tiny water droplet felt a cold shiver. The sky whispered of a magical change.
With a sudden sparkle, the droplet froze into a tiny crystal. Six perfect, icy arms sprouted from its center.
It leaped from the heavy cloud, starting a long, swirling dance. Down it drifted toward the sleeping earth far below.
Swirling through the cold air, the tiny crystal began to grow. Every frosty breeze added delicate patterns to its six branches.
No other snowflake in the sky shared its exact shape. Every new layer of frost made the little crystal completely unique.
It joined a flurry of other crystals, a grand parade of icy stars. Yet, even in the crowd, its design stayed special.
Suddenly, a sharp gust of wind caught the snowflake. The gentle dance turned into a wild, spinning ride.
It tumbled and spun through the stormy sky, but it did not break. Its six strong arms held tight against the wind.
The wild wind finally softened into a gentle whisper. Floating peacefully again, the crystal drifted toward the quiet ground.
Below, a cozy world covered in white waited to welcome it. The little snowflake drifted closer to the quiet ground.
It floated down toward a waiting hand, ready to finish its long journey. A soft, dark blue mitten reached up to greet it.
It landed softly on the dark blue wool. Resting beside other icy stars, it shone proudly, each with six sides, yet no two quite the same.
