The Sun

Far out in the deep, dark ocean of space, the friendly Sun floated happily. He loved to shine his warm, golden light.

But the space around him was very cold and empty. The Sun wondered if his warm, golden light could find a special place to help.

Then, he spotted a beautiful blue and green planet spinning in the distance. The Earth looked chilly, wrapped in cool gray clouds.

He realized he was a star positioned just close enough to help. He decided to send his warm rays toward the chilly planet.

The Sun stretched his golden-yellow rays across the vast, empty space. He smiled, sending warm beams dancing toward the Earth.

But cold cosmic winds tried to blow the warm rays away. The chilly planet shivered beneath its blanket of gray clouds.

The Sun gathered his strength and shone with an intense, brilliant glow. He was determined to warm the shivering planet.

Thick, stubborn clouds rolled over the Earth, trying to block the bright light. The little planet shivered in the gray mist.

With a mighty, loving push, the Sun's brilliant rays pierced right through the thick, stubborn clouds.

The heavy gray clouds melted away into soft, morning dew. Below, the chilly planet began to feel the sweet, cozy warmth.

Beautiful green forests woke up, and colorful flowers bloomed across the land under the cozy sunlight.

The Sun smiled down, happy to be the special star close enough to keep the whole world safe, warm, and bright.
