Vince Learns to Slow Down

Vince the velociraptor was always in a big hurry. He zoomed past giant ferns and zipped over hills, leaving a cloud of dust behind.

His friends waved as he flashed by, but Vince was moving too fast to notice. He didn't even see the pretty flowers at his feet.

One morning, Pip the Triceratops pointed to the Whispering Woods. "A secret treasure is hidden there, but you must not rush to find it."

"I can find anything fast!" Vince laughed, zooming right into the dark trees. He was sure his speed would help him win.

Vince tripped on a thick, tangled vine and tumbled through the air. He landed with a soft plop in a patch of fuzzy green moss.

Vince sat up, catching his breath. On a nearby tree trunk, a family of tiny, glowing beetles sparkled like little stars.

Vince stood up and took slow, quiet steps. For the first time, he heard the soft, musical whispering of the tall trees.

Then, a splash of bright color caught his eye. A beautiful, shimmering butterfly rested quietly on a giant green fern.

Vince smiled, watching the butterfly's glowing wings. He finally understood that the secret treasure was the beautiful world around him.

Vince skipped happily out of the woods to find his friends. He walked slowly, enjoying the warm sun and the sweet smell of the flowers.

Vince met Pip and his friends in the clearing. They were amazed to see him walking slowly, pointing out a pretty flower along the way.

Now, Vince still loves to run fast, but he always remembers to slow down, look around, and smile at the beautiful wonders of his jungle home.
