About these stories
Fifteen dinosaur stories, from the biggest teeth that ever bit (T-Rex) to the longest neck (Diplodocus) and the only dinosaur that swam (Spinosaurus). Most are true portraits — what each dinosaur ate, what its plates or crest or club tail were for, and the Ice Age that came long after. The rest are gentle adventures: Terry the Friendly T-Rex, who learns that big does not have to mean scary; Trixie, a baby Triceratops who finds her way home in a storm; Vince, the fastest Velociraptor, who learns to slow down.
Written for three- to six-year-olds, with two — T-Rex and Dinosaurs — pitched at older listeners who want the real numbers. None of them ends in a fight; every dinosaur here goes to sleep at the end.
