The story

Millions of years ago, a little armored crocodile basked on a warm, muddy riverbank while giant dinosaurs roamed.

He loved splashing in the cool water while giant brontosauruses stomped nearby, shaking the leafy green ferns.

Suddenly, a strange shadow fell over the jungle as a bright, rumbling star streaked across the dark sky.

The ground shook violently, and a chilly wind began to blow. The giant dinosaurs looked up at the sky with worry.

The warm sun disappeared behind thick clouds of ash. The clever crocodile slid down into the deep, warm mud to stay safe.

As the air turned icy, the patient crocodile rested deep underwater, holding his breath where the temperature remained steady.

A great winter settled over the land, and the giant dinosaurs began to disappear from the freezing forests.

With his tough armor protecting him, the crocodile swam through dark, freezing waters to find a safe, deep pool.

Deep inside his hidden pool, the crocodile slept through the long, silent winter, waiting patiently for the world to change.

At last, the thick clouds began to drift away. A warm ray of golden sunlight pierced the mist, melting the ice on the river.

Feeling the wonderful warmth, the tough crocodile crawled out of his pool and onto the sunny, green riverbank.

The giant dinosaurs were gone, but the brave crocodile survived. He basked in the warm sun, a living link to the ancient past.
