Hippos: River Giants

Under the warm African sun, the wide river flows gently. Massive hippos rest in the cool water, their sleepy eyes peeking out.

A loud splash echoes down the river, startling the birds. A drift of heavy logs begins to block the hippos' favorite swimming pool.

The giant hippos wade into the deep, swirling current together. They prepare to push the heavy logs with all their might.

Working side by side, the hippos nudge the rough wood. They use their immense strength, pushing the heavy logs out of the way.

With every powerful nudge, the river begins to move again. The hippos rumble happily, seeing their teamwork pay off.

But further down, a massive branch gets wedged tightly in a narrow bend. The water stops flowing, and the river grows quiet.

The largest hippo steps forward to help. Taking a deep breath, he dives beneath the water to reach the stuck branch.

Deep underwater, the brave giant presses his broad shoulders against the heavy wood. He gives one final, mighty push.

With a loud crack, the giant branch breaks free! The trapped water bursts through, rushing happily downstream once more.

The brave hippo pops his head back up, shaking the water from his ears. His friends cheer with deep, happy rumbles.

As the golden sun begins to set, the river sparkles beautifully. The hippos swim back to their clear, clean pool.

Together, the proud giants rest in the peaceful water. They are the gentle protectors of this beautiful river home.
