Rockets

A bright red rocket sits quietly on its launchpad, waiting under a blanket of twinkling stars. It dreams of touching the moon.

Suddenly, the countdown begins! Five, four, three, two, one... The rocket's engines wake up with a quiet, warm hum.

Whoosh! Bright orange fire starts to gather at the bottom of the rocket. It squeezes all its energy together.

It prepares to make its grand move. To soar high into the dark sky, the rocket must first push the bright fire down.

With a mighty roar, the rocket pushes the hot fire down against the ground. The bright flames splash outward!

As the fire pushes hard against the ground, the ground pushes back! Slowly, the heavy rocket begins to rise.

Up, up, and away! The rocket climbs higher, leaving a giant tail of golden fire pointing straight down at the earth.

The rocket zooms through the fluffy white clouds. By pushing fire down, it climbs higher and higher into the blue sky.

The blue sky fades into a deep, dark purple. The rocket reaches the edge of space, where stars begin to twinkle brightly.

The engines finally fall silent. Floating in the peaceful dark, the rocket looks back at the beautiful blue Earth below.

The silver moon smiles as the little rocket drifts closer. It is finally here, floating peacefully among the twinkling stars.

By pushing down to go up, the rocket found its way to the stars. Now, it happily drifts, ready for the next big adventure.
